Recently my client told me they got penalized for running a paid ad to a landing page. By penalised I mean the ad and the landing page were disallowed. And by landing page I mean a page with one place to click. I.e not a regular webpage. I was surprised to hear this because running paid ads to landing pages is just what you do. It might be because this “landing page” was a splash page. So after submitting your email, the user was then taken through to the company website. My client said something like “Google doesn’t like ads to websites with gated content so we can’t use landing pages." Anyone know anything about this? Has Google changed its stance lately?

Hey <!channel> I hope you are having a fantastic week. One of the most frequent questions I get in this community is "how should I validate my product/service?". I personally wanted to hear your thoughts on the issue from all of the growth marketing professionals and founders in this community. How are you validating your product/service? 1️⃣*Sending written surveys to potential customers* 2️⃣*Video interviews with potential customers* 3️⃣*Ads (Facebook, Google, Twitter etc.)* 4️⃣*Providing a short demo of your product to potential customers.* 5️⃣*Other.* Let us know in the thread of this message why you believe your product validation strategy is the most effective.

Hey all, Dan here from Petal. As our beta product approaches a 1.0 GA release, I am working on updating our website. Currently, we use Squarespace 7.0 and are planning to change to a 7.1 site because of it's more flexible layouts and updated features. Based on what I've read, however, migrating from 7.0 to 7.1 on Squarespace requires creating a brand new site and then just re-creating content. My site has been live for a few years and I'm nervous that starting fresh can potentially demolish SEO. Has anyone else had experience with this specific migration? Can anyone share tips on how to maintain SEO when setting up the new site? My assumed approach is to keep the URL structure the same so that backlinks aren't broken. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

And what are your biggest sticking points/ frustrations? Alternatively, what do you love about how you and your agency work together? Let me know - Gabriel (Co-founder of Briefly).

Hello. Is anyone familiar with a cheap tool that will monitor search terms, such as “Creator Economy” on Twitter, Reddit, and Quora, and will send messages to Slack? Zapier can do it but becomes expensive quickly. Even Make is expensive. Thanks, Yoram

Hello all, I am looking for some help with google data studio. I pretty familiar with both but stuck on a problem. I have 2 google sheets data reports that I am trying to merge in data studio. I understand google sheets and data studio pretty well. I have campaigns running that go to 2 different companies. I want to use the campaign name to merge them, but be able to sum the clicks, conversions, etc from the 2 tables. Basically, I want to see the total clicks each campaign got. I have blended them, and tried to sum the clicks but they dont actually merge into one campaign. Example: Table 1 campaign_1 clicks 5 table 2 campaign_1 clicks 8 what im looking for is campaign_1 clicks 13 If this is wrong place to post this let me know and I will take down. Newer to community. Thank you

Hello, did you ever use Google Optimize or other Google tools to change the copy on the landing page to fit different keywords in your Google Ads campaign? We want to test a number of different keywords and building new landings for each of them just to make a few copy changes seems extremely inefficient and I am looking for a better way to do that.

Google optimize isn't for making quick changes to your LP's, it is for A/B testing. Depending on the website you use you can pretty easily just duplicate the page and then change the copy you want to with minimum effort. I would just duplicate your page if this is for making slight copy changes. However like I said if you are looking to test then optimize is a good place to start
