Hey hey 👋🏻 I’m working on a job description for a growth hacker. It’s a little unconventional and might put off some people, but that is exactly my intention. Would love to hear some feedback from the pros before I put it out there. Here it goes: -- I hate the term ‘Growth Hacker’. But I’m looking for one. I dislike the term because a lot of people call themselves a growth hacker, while they are basically just doing marketing. You are not a growth hacker because you read a case study on the Dropbox referral system. I’m looking for someone who really likes to break things, wants to figure out how algorithms work and exploit them. And then enjoys the rush that follows from the traffic explosion and smoking servers. The most important qualification for this job is that you are a star at figuring things out. You are the person who knows that he is not the best writer but has found that great AI-tool that does the copy for him. The funny thing is, that most true growth hackers I know, use their qualities on things that don’t matter or are evil. They figure out tiktok, but use their findings to push the latest crypto scheme. If you join our team, your efforts will help sell more products and services that people actually love and want to use. Our company is an umbrella company for companies in a few different niches from graphic design to rehab, so you won’t be bored. My vision for all of the companies is to deliver quality to the customer or visitor and reach as many as we can by sometimes coloring outside the lines. I do draw a (hard) line at tactics that harms others. We want to be able to look ourselves in the mirror at the end of the day. Here are some examples of projects you would be working on: • We are building an army of Quora accounts right now to game the system. You will help testing strategies and come up with new ideas to put the accounts to good use. • We sell digital products on all sorts of platforms. You will help in figuring out how the algos of these platforms work so that we can exploit them. That can go from sending mass traffic to a listing (still works on some of the platforms!) to buying reviews to testing different preview images. What’s in it for you • Part of the training is taking the best course there is on Growth hacking. It’s a course by Jared Codling and I’ve paid $3000 for it. It’s worth every penny and you’ll love it. You can’t get a better training. • You should do this because you love it and want to learn and grow. You will get a fine salary which will be increased if you show your value. But this is not Facebook or Google. But, the learnings will be invaluable and will set you up for the rest of your career. • Work directly with someone who has a big passion for growth hacking and will give you tons of cool ideas to work on. How to apply Send me why you would be the right person for this job and describe in detail what growth hacks you’ve done so far and the results it got.

Hi there! Wanted to ask if anyone is happy with a team or a creative agency for video creation especially on sensitive topics that ad platforms sometimes block - speaking bout Healthcare/Psychology/Services ? Looking for references for now as it is quite tricky and investing into a creative only for it to get blocked for "sensitive content" definitely sucks for everyone.

13 top reasons why you are not getting any (or very few) signups from your content (if you are blogging, of course) 1) Just writing on whatever you like. You should always write around a keyword. The biggest mistake most founders make is to write on whatever they feel they are an expert on. It never works like that. 2) You are writing informational (educational) articles. In these articles, you are educating the audience and hoping they will sign up. The cycle for these types of blogs will be long and nurturing. 3) You are writing for the wrong audience. Let's say, you are selling a data science product. Instead of focusing on data science students, write articles that the VP of Engineering/Data Science/IT would read. Don’t write about how the decision tree algorithm works; instead, talk about how one can make easy business decisions, in if else manner, using simple decision trees, and then weave your product into it. So after showing the value of a decision tree and tying it to the business value, show how your product can generate a quick decision tree by just uploading data. 4) Writing on tough keywords, which are hard to rank for. 5) No Content hygiene followed. Some good writing hygiene includes talking in “you” and “I” language; good intro; using subheadings to create hierarchy; breaking up things with images; paragraphs in less than 4 lines; plagiarized free content 6) Not researching what people want to know and not understanding the user's intent. Always put yourself in the searcher's shoes 7) No SEO hygiene followed. Some of the good hygiene include short URLs, compelling title tags, good meta description, 2-3 high authority outbound links, adding schema markup, internal links, etc. 8 ) Website is too slow to load. According to Google’s recommendations, If a site is not loading quickly, chances are that Google's search robot will not index it. Slow work does not allow the robot to do its job and this means that users are likely to leave the page 9) It is not cellphone optimized. Half of your readers are searching on cellphones 10) There is no menu or content table. Uncomfortable navigation is a nightmare for any visitor. When articles on different topics are collected in one big pile, one simply can’t find what they need. So, take care of your customers and create a menu with great article categories and sections. 11) Useful functions aren’t available, which is being able to share content on social media, leave comments, and subscribe to newsletters. 12) No meta description. Meta descriptions are quite effective in SEO. It’s a kind of advertisement for your content: the more interesting your description is, the more clicks you will get. 13) No clear CTA on blog page or too many CTAs. Bombard the user with CTAs every 5 seconds and the user would leave. Also, another mistake I have seen is forcing users to fill his/her details to read your content.

Hey folks, A user of my app posted a video about the project on TikTok, the video went viral, and we added 10,000 new participants in less than five days. What’s the best way to extend the virality of the video? Do we use it as an ad on TikTok (if we get the original creator’s approval), or are there other ways?

Hey 🙂 I am looking for recommendations: 1. What tools do you use to manage your linkbuilding process and track partnership progresses? 2. I heart that there is a database/tool where you can access writers, who are interested in placing additional links to their upcoming articles. Maybe someone heart about it and know the name?

Hey folks, I need some help in understanding how to reach more audiences for getting them on the waitlist. We have decent website, demo videos and a fully working prototype. Currently, I have about 90 people in total ( waitlist + people who tried the prototype). We got these by posting on Indie hackers, LinkedIn, Reddit ( Bitcoin, lightning, NFT subreddits), few cold outreachs in my network who could be potential customers. More about the product itself : Offramp is an easy and secure way to sell cryptocurrencies (like USDT, BTC, ETH) to instantly receive fiat directly into your bank account. We also support instant liquidation from L2s like the lightning network (Bitcoin), Optimism and Arbitrum (Ethereum). Link to the website: https://offrampwidget.com Any suggestions are appreciated 🙏

Hey @Elena Marston in my opinion is best to start bootstrapping and when you start to get users who are actively using your product you might want to look VC funding to scale your growth. But it all depends on your product I know a lot of SaaS business who didn't need VC funding to scale their business.

In my opinion, always bootstrap until you reach your product-market fit. Before that, everything and anything can change. The product might end up being something entirely different than what you started with.

I never did it before, but my current plan is to try to bootstrap it until ~3k MRR and then maybe look into VC. Kinda like what Reilly did and shared here:

I'm in the Bootstrapping camp also. It keeps the pressure off while you refine the product and messaging with a smaller user base.

Bootstrapping & Angel Investment before VC. Angel Investment - you will get some peace of mind on funds, will get a mentor who will put bet on your idea, will add as benefits points to attract the right talent. bootstrapping is good if you have enough resources to progress for initial sizeable traction.

Thank you for the suggestions pros. I will go with bootstrapping until I reach product market fit. That seems most logical to me.
