Somewhat if looking at this specific group, but if aggregated across the dozen+ slack groups, yes.
Though in the past 2 years, Discord groups has far been better in terms of value, though that’s partly due to the rise of paid groups. As it’s always the case, once a platform is “acquired” (ie. Slack by Salesforce), the innovation stops.
Discord managed to fend off the first acquisition and has now enabled communities that is really thriving.
In my ranking (aggregated), it’s Discord, Whatsapp (due to legacy mostly), Telegram, Slack/Insta/FB/Linkedin, custom forums/Signal.
