It’s been a month since I’ve launched Peachweb.com (and gotten my first customer) and I will say so far making my web design services a subscription has been a great experience for both me and my client 👍🏼 My favorite part is I never have to say something is out of scope of the original project. For example they were only planning to get a website done this month but we got a logo done as well. No change orders etc needed. Check out the logo attached! 😊 If you’re curious about this business model I would say go for it, the hardest part is you can’t make exceptions. I’ve had to turn down potential customers because they wanted some exceptions outside the subscription terms, and I had to say no, because then the subscription would be pointless. It would just end up with exceptions for everyone, losing me the benefit of a very straightforward process. I also let go of some other clients because they were not interested in the subscription model. That’s it, just writing this out in the spirit of build in public.
