There’s really no “best” strategy because what will work on your developer audience will depend on a number of factors. A. Is your product easier to use i.e. has great DX (developer experience) compared to incumbents? B. Is it COSS (commercial open source) so devs can try it out locally and not have to worry about GDPR/compliance requirements if their employer can only consider solutions that can be self-hosted on-prem or in own-cloud account? C. Is it much cheaper than alternatives e.g SigNoz is COSS and is significantly cheaper than Datadog? D. Is it written in a language that is steadily growing in popularity so you can ride that wave into the minds of developers? E.g. try lots of different videos and test how people respond. Then contact influencial devs.
