Hello everyone,
I've been working on two MVPs for validation and I've put them out there on a few different platforms including Reddit, HN, and ProductHunt. I'm currently getting around 500 to 600 visits per month with around 5% conversation rate resulting in 30 signups.
However, I'm having a hard time converting those free trial signups to paid. In fact, I have zero sales at all. I'm wondering why I can't seem to get even one paying customer? Do I need to invalidate, scrap and move on from these ideas?
The average conversion rate from trial to paid is 10% which means I should be getting at least 3 paid users from my 30 signups. If I don't, does that mean the product is not validated and I should move on?
On the other hand, I'm also wondering if 500+ visitors is too small a number to make any meaningful validation decisions. Should I focus on growing my visitors to a larger number before making any validation decisions? What should be a good number of visitors to make accurate validation decisions?
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
