Hello everyone, I've been working on two MVPs for validation and I've put them out there on a few different platforms including Reddit, HN, and ProductHunt. I'm currently getting around 500 to 600 visits per month with around 5% conversation rate resulting in 30 signups. However, I'm having a hard time converting those free trial signups to paid. In fact, I have zero sales at all. I'm wondering why I can't seem to get even one paying customer? Do I need to invalidate, scrap and move on from these ideas? The average conversion rate from trial to paid is 10% which means I should be getting at least 3 paid users from my 30 signups. If I don't, does that mean the product is not validated and I should move on? On the other hand, I'm also wondering if 500+ visitors is too small a number to make any meaningful validation decisions. Should I focus on growing my visitors to a larger number before making any validation decisions? What should be a good number of visitors to make accurate validation decisions? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Great questions and following with interest. Just generally, Lenny's Podcast and Kyle Polar's substack would be great places to start and see how other companies do it.

Hi Moe, what is your domain? Maybe you just need a lil bit more time for conversion?

Hey @Razzie Cat • Have you talked to those 30 signups? if not do it now. Idea: give some amazon coupons to get them on a call • How is your onboarding? Maybe this can be better. • Which actions are the free trial users doing on the platform? think of the core actions that they must do in order to get the value out of your MVP. share your url and maybe I’ll get some more ideas. Cheers, I

Interesting question! It's hard to say anything without the MVP information. And it's too early to move on...
