Hi everyone! Our company has grown organically with clients' referrals for 10+ years. However, we would like to take a more active approach this quarter. Have you ever used crunchbase.com or similar to get prospects? We have done some cold email prospecting in the past with hunter and MailChimp but the results were not great. We are a boutique studio specialized on UX/UI design and website development (https://ameba.studio) Any tips are welcome!

Hey @Miguel Vallvé Garibaldi Usually for design agencies, referral is the best way. However I have worked as a marketing and sales specialist in a web dev agency and we were trying the following ways: 1. Hunting projects on Dribble https://dribbble.com/ also we had a portfolio on dribble. 2. Clutch was great for leads - https://clutch.co/ 3. We run a cold email campaign through Apollo and we had 8 warm leads in 2 months. 4. For all the designs that you think are top noch, publish them on https://www.awwwards.com/ with hopes that you will get high marks. this might tackle traffic to your website + you will have one more content idea to share on social. I see that you have tried cold emailing, it is working but you need the right approach and the right target. P.S Try offering a free website audit in the cold email campaign. I believe you will have some results 🙂 I hope this helps 🙂

Thanks Ivona, we do grow by referrals for sure and that's what I meant with "organic growth". Thanks for the time and love you put in your reply. I really appreciate it. 1- We have not hunt on Dribble. Not sure how you do that? 2- Clutch has been "ok" for us but not great, we tried the premium thing for 6 months and the leads were... bad quality. 3- I will check Apollo. Right now we are doing hunter. 4- Have not thought about Awwwards but it is a good call. The free audit is our 4th email. Maybe we need to put that upfront...

There is a page for "freelance design jobs" on Dribbble, people who need design services post their requests there - https://dribbble.com/freelance-jobs Usually, they look for freelancers, but sometimes they decide to go with companies (if the offer is good) Regarding the email - You should definitely put the audit in the first or second email, so they see the "hook" earlier in the communication 🙂
