Hi, all you beautiful people. I have a conversion issue/question. Maybe you can help me. I've built www.hotcopy.co with a friend of mine. It's an AI content writing tool with Southeast Asian languages as a focus, with Malaysia and Singapore to start. It's an MVP, but already does a lot. Ad Impressions: 51,000 Clicks on the ads: 2,200 Not the best numbers, but I'm okay with that. This is where it gets tricky now. Google Ads says that we had 900 conversion We can see that around 150 people tried to sign up. But only 30 actually landed on the platform. Of those, we didn't have anyone to actually buy a package after their 7-day trial period. Obviously, the non-existent conversion from 7-day test to package is concerning. But even worse, where are all the people going that 1. Visited the website and didn't even try the 7 days 2. Went to the sign-up page, and then disappeared. If anyone has any ideas, that would be amazing!

curious how much does 51,000 impressions and 2200 clicks cost?

Hi Sam. Those were around 600 US Dollars.

That’s not expensive. We spent 500+ dollars and Google only give us 900 clicks and 10K impressions. They reported some conversions but real conversions are 0. In my opinion, Google ads are not worth it, so I just stopped the ads

When set up correctly then Google Ads can definitely bring in customers. We've realized that our conversion tracking is completely buggy, so we're fixing it now. Facebook Ads do work better though since they are image or video based. And Google Ads Retargeting with display ads works pretty well too. Buuut, I'm basing this on my experience with products and service-based businesses. I'm justing getting started with doing ads for SaaS, and then it's also my own. So, we'll see.

Is your ga4 setup done correctly? Are you mapping out journey after free trial? Or even simpler, are you doing behavioral analysis on what the users are doing in their free trials??

The clicks and the visits are correct. The conversion tracking were not set up correctly. We hopefully fixed that. But the main issue is still actually converting people to the free trial, and also for a paid package. We don't run a behavioral analysis of those in their free trials, as 30 people are not worth the effort. We need to get more through the door to use the actual trial. I already got people to look at it and we're out of ideas, as everything looks like it should work.

then you need to do a funnel analysis to know where people are dropping off

so there's a high bounce rate? from every channel?
so you are getting traffic from paid search google and organic social from facebook, which one is converting for you?

We've only turned on Google Ads first. Didn't even start Facebook Ads because of the high bounce rate.
