Hold your laughter or frowns, but has anyone built...

Hold your laughter or frowns, but has anyone built, sold and marketed Microsoft Office Add-ins? I am working with a fellow marketer to build an Outlook Add-in for Brick-N-Mortar Salespeople who are doing outbound sales for industrial goods. We believe that there is a product market-fit for traditional brick-and-mortar sales teams who don't want to use any other tools outside of the Office ecosystem, therefore you can see why this has to be an Add-in rather than a full-blown SaaS, although there will be signups and the revenue model is likely subscription. Some questions I have: • I'm following the MS guide on the hygiene stuff like "keep your title concise" and "get more reviews", but would like to know if there are any SEO tips and any "hacks" to get my listing up. • The tech stack I have in mind is the recommended HTML+JS following the MS guide and sample code, with the backend of our choice. I have identified some features that cannot be executed within the plugin but has to be served from a different server - just want to get some sanity check on whether this architecture is sound. • Most Add-in products I've seen have landing pages and a subscription model (I assume for the reason I've mentioned in the previous point), MS also said it is good to drive traffic to your Appsource page. Again looking for any advice/tips on this. • Any other advice/tips you can give us. 🙏 Cheers!
