I've been meaning to read "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu for quite a long time. When I found the book in the bookstore, I was quite shocked to see that this legendary book was only 43 pages long! Having finished reading it, I can once again agree with Leonardo Davinci when he said "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". The Art of War is a 2500 year-old example of sophistication packed in 13 Chapters. As a startup founder and #startupcoach I found great points in the book that would appeal to the #startups Building a startup is like going into a war full of unknowns. There are many unknowns and you try to create value by uncovering each unknown on the way. Sun Tzu lists five fundamental factors [Moral Law], [Heaven], [Earth], [The Commander] and [Method&Discipline] that define a successful outcome in warfare. In my latest article, [https://bit.ly/48BN8Hy] I talked about the frameworks and methodologies that will help early-stage startup founders find #productmarketfit Let me unite Sun Tzu's ancient strategy and startup tactics: Moral Law & Lean Startup Methodology:Sun Tzu speaks of Moral Law as harmony among the people. In startup terms, this translates to building a company culture that embraces the Lean Startup's Build-Measure-Learn loop, fostering team unity and customer alignment. ☁️ Heaven & The 7 Fits Framework: Heaven represents the dynamic elements of the environment. Just like adapting to weather changes in battle, use our 7 Fit Framework Towards Product-Market Fit to navigate the ever-changing startup landscape, adapting your strategy to market conditions. Earth & Customer Insights Techniques: Earth encompasses distances, dangers, and barriers, much like the market terrain in business. Apply The Mom Test and Strategyzer tools to understand and navigate this terrain, assessing customer needs and market opportunities accurately. 👨🏼‍✈️ The Commander & Design Thinking: The Commander symbolizes virtues of wisdom, sincerity, and courage. Embody these traits as you lead your startup, using #designthinking to put the user at the center of your innovation process, making bold and empathetic decisions. 🚀 Method and Discipline & Growth Hacking Tactics:This factor deals with the organization of the army, akin to structuring your startup's growth strategies. Apply #growthhacking methods with discipline and organization, just as a general organizes troops, to capture the market efficiently. Cannot agree more with Sun Tzu when he says; “Those who are able to adapt and change in accord with the enemy and achieve victory are called divine.” Read more to learn how to find Product-Market Fit and build maybe not a divine but a scalable business 😁 [https://bit.ly/3tOGkHw]
