Hey sorry if this is not the right channel, but this is a message for the Workspace Admins. Could you please remove the restriction to ignore the
@channel
and
@here
notifications? I disable it for all my Slack workspaces to avoid distractions. Thanks in advance. Maybe I’m doing it wrong and there’s a different way to do it that doesn’t require any modifications at the admin level, or silencing other notifications at the personal level.

I think you're safe, Joe. That message reads to me that people are not allowed to use @channel and @here (probably for the exact reason you stated, of not being distracted). So you can't ignore it because it'll never happen.
Trying to use @channel or @here doesn't function and won't notify everyone like it does in other slacks.

Thanks Jordan, but what I’m trying to do is disable all notifications just for myself when some @ at everyone in a channel. The checkbox is disabled, I think it should be like this one so I can uncheck it:

But, if I'm understanding correctly, it is impossible to @ everyone in the channel. So there is nothing to mute.

Ah, ok. I misunderstood. I’m not sure about this channel, but I was notified in a different channel, that’s what started this discussion. I was trying to bring it up in some #general channel but we don’t have that here. Maybe I should have brought it up in the original channel. https://growthmarketingpros.slack.com/archives/C02D6RCQW7R/p1632151575102700

Oh ho, you are correct there. It looks like @here and @channel can be used but only by admins and I'm guessing they use them daily. That seems odd of slack to not allow you to mute them. Good call!
