So my clients are software houses, software companies producing desktop applications
I am not sure how to reach them

Hmm FB ads is a bad idea in your case, I would say go into communities on Reddit and Discord where you have most people that work at software companies hang out

be active in those communities and start asking questions
Best case scenario you want to get them on a call or private chat where they can give you feedback on your product

Sounds like very time consuming. What about trying to reach companies representatives via linkedin and book 5-10 minutes of their time
what do you think?

The problem with that approach is that if you ask for a call directly to someone you don't know they will immediately think that you are trying to sell them something.
That is especially true on LinkedIn and that is why most people now a days ignore messages on LinkedIn.
Validation should be time consuming and you should try to do it as best as you can if you rush it and do it badly everything else that follows it will fall apart.
