Is it a good idea to create a url-shortner service?
Given that there are already some really good players in the market like bitly, is it possible to enter into this space for small business?
Could you please connect me to a person who has been a user of any url-shortner services?

From a developer perspective, most backend frameworks, have packages that would add such functionality. So if it is a website built by developers. they might not need this.

I need to implement a url-friendly for a website and definitely won’t use any service.

Im a user of bitly, and definitely don't think I've ever felt like I need an alternate solution

@Enric Bisbe Gil you mean something like yourdomain.com/campaign1?
I think it's a specific use case of url-shortner with custom domain.
Thanks @Lak
I agree. They are doing this for a while and they are really good at it.
I am exploring this area in case I can find some features and fine tune it to target more specific customers.
Even if I can't find more specific features, I can try launching another bitly🙂

Just saw this -- We had an internal tool of this at Airbnb. Basically you could enter a url IE airbnb.com/hello and it would automatically create a redirect for you with no-code. (usually random marketing pages)
