Need some direction in getting my market research started. Right now I am trying to contact potential users on LinkedIn, but it is really hard to get people to respond. Could it be that LinkedIn is not the right place? Where do artist who license their music hang around? Is it still SoundCloud or similar platforms? What they are using at the moment? Which tool?

It very well could be, although I found all the target audience on LinkedIn I could ever need. It's just that it's very hard to get a response. My target audience is not the artists who license music but music supervisors, ad directors, music libraries and publishers that are involved in sync music licensing. They are all on LinkedIn from what I could see.

And how do you approach them? I'm happy to review your message. I did something similar last year with a great response rate but I didn't sell anything, I asked them for help and learning from their experience

I think you are right. Now that I think of it, my wording does sound like I am trying to sell them something. I am going to try asking for help instead. Thank you so much! Will let you know how that goes.
