Hi everyone, I have a question, and I need some insights. Should companies lower their marketing goals if they are lowering budget? Is it possible to keep the same goals while cutting budget? I think it isn't. However, some organisations still expect the marketing department to hit the same goals as before, so I'm curious what everyone thinks and how the department can approach this if the organisation's leadership is being rigid.

I think you can keep same goals, if you have an alternative strategy in place - of course, depending on real data and numbers (can we double this instead of that...)

I see, thanks.

It really depends on the situation . For example: You can media budget, if you have a lot of traffic to your website and you decide on focusing A/B testing conversions better.

@Oluwanifemi I think it depends on what the goals are. if the goals are number of leads, users. or conversions and paid channels are the major drivers, then a reduced budget will automatically affect those numbers. It won’t make any sense to still expect that those goals/KPIs will be met when you’re spending less.
@Oluwanifemi However, goals like conversion rates, CTRs, CPA, CAC might not necessary be affected by reduced marketing budget.

Thank you!
