I've a bit of a two sided question: 1. Anyone in marketing ever decided to separate out landing pages, content hubs and content creation into a separate tool than their current website and CMS? a. Why? Politics, crappy CMS, cost etc? 2. Any agencies or people had the experience of replacing only part of a marketing site like above rather than a full site rebuild and migration? The reason for my question is that I'm trying to find lower friction, lower barrier to entry ways to work with clients who aren't ready for full site builds but need to make progress on the flexibility and performance side in relation to their content marketing.

only one i can note is landing pages are often on a subdomain. Faster testing, less resources from devs, more efficient all around. They are no indexed so SEO impact doesnt matter. If people are putting content hubs on a separate site I would hope that the content hub would be considered the main site since SEO doesn't cross over.
