As an agency owner. Is it easier to close business who are already running google ads? Or Is it easier to close business who have not done google ads for their business before?

Depends on how you sell it and what you can guarantee. Both are still skeptical for different reasons.
It’s of course easier, if you got to know them by way of them clicking on your google ad … then you can say “Well, we’re having a conversation now because of Google ads, need we say anymore about how effective it is?”

In my experience, the former. It’s easy to poke holes in another persons Google Ads account

@Ryan Olestro But most of the clients are currently in contract with other agencies. Do you think they will switch to new agency quickly? Most of the contracts will be 3/6/12 month long right?

Most agencies have month to month contracts.

My agency these days secure a % in some of the companies. We don’t mind having external third parties coming in for those projects as a benchmark, so it depends. Smaller sized companies don’t have the bandwidth to manage multiple vendors and stick to one. I do think it’s healthy and keeps the teams on their toes as long as the business grows and there isn’t too much toxicity.
