You can definitely do this, but I recommend using only your logo as the link. If you start adding keywords like “small business website builder” in the anchor text, you can get shut down by Google pretty quickly, particularly if you don’t have a lot of other types of links already going to your site. The stronger your domain, the more you can try to play with this stuff, but we have seen some of our clients get totally de-indexed by using this tactic because they got aggressive with anchor text. But a simple logo link to your homepage or to your “we build websites” page should not be a problem and should be a net-positive SEO-wise.
