People buy from people. Put a face on it.

I do not recommend it. People are visual creature and we take many communication queues from facial movements and features. Not putting a face on your business, or your profile, leaves one wonder if there is something to hide or untoward.

One can go either way. People (from employees to CEOs) change, its not a must. A strong brand doesn´t necessarily need a face (many examples here), and in case one does not want to be, it is fine as well. It depends on the business itself. However in case you do not delegate, it will be impossible to avoid direct contact with prospective clients. Think of it as there are no rules and whatever works - trial & error, go with it.
