Hi everyone. I noticed the same behavior pattern among followers of my FB public pages. Users actively engage with posts, but at the same time, they do not follow external links, trying to stay within the social media. Have you noticed similar pattern in your FB publics? I want to understand whether this is a general audience's behavior on a given platform or a feature of my target audience.

Hi Alexey This is definitely what I have experienced (not just with FB but in generally with all channels) The primary reasons for this is most people browsing these platforms are chasing dopamine highs. The cross domain redirect (outbound links) majority of the times look a hinderance to them. (especially to the app visitors) Even on websites, I always tell my clients to keep most of the things on the landing page itself. We had a client who used to send traffic to homepage and had main conversion action on the contact us page (a contact us form) When we added the form on the homepage, it helped them improving their conversion rates to a significant amount. TLDR; People want everything as quick as possible, whether its a piece of info or a quick dopamine shot.

Hi @Blogging Surgeon thanks for the answer. Do you know by chance if there well recommended technical strategies to embedd web app into social media or marketing strategies to move traffic from social network to the online web-app?

It really depends on what you are offering. If you have something worthy offering on your website, people will definitely move there.

I have a chatbot that makes astrological predictions. https://pocket-astrologer.com/en/ My first experiments show that people are not ready to move there despite it is a pure entertainment toy. Obviously the promise of prospective dopamine highs is less than what FB teasers offer. So I am guessing what could be the strategy here

Nice job with the tool @Alexey Borealis. Honestly it also depends on whether the content on page is related to this or not. Like tbh there are often so many such nearly scam posts on FB that i will just avoid going to a horoscope or astrology site. Also please remember organic reach of most social platforms is nil (they make money through paid ads, not by letting content creators write content and derive traffic to their site) So overall a lot of diff. things come into play here. You might need to use a different marketing strategy (Something like forums is what i believe can work good for an industry like yours)
