Hey folks, A user of my app posted a video about the project on TikTok, the video went viral, and we added 10,000 new participants in less than five days. What’s the best way to extend the virality of the video? Do we use it as an ad on TikTok (if we get the original creator’s approval), or are there other ways?

I agree with Paul, for an ad you can try it, I personally haven't posted an ad so I can't comment much. I would also suggest for you to extend the partnership with Oofmeimei. What I mean is send her more products and cool swag. Try to build a long term relationship with her. So you can get as much value from her influence as possible.

that’s MAAD @maad 😆, congrats! You are already kinda doing it, posting it here 🙃 Obviously post it everywhere (can be with this or a similar context) but you can also do a reaction video on youtube (those thend to get a lot of views). Essentially say what you’re saying in the post, but in a youtube video. It’s one of the big tricks of the trade 😉 Also, you could reach out to people for PR, guest blogs, interviews etc. Spread the story and grow that number even further.

Thanks for the input. Many great ideas, I’ll keep you guys posted!

I recently acquired the right to use the video across different platforms, however, the original TikTok version is still performing really well with over 100,000 likes - if we start to run the ad on IG Reels and YT Shorts, is there any chance that might impact the performance on the organic video?

I think it’s a great idea, however I honestly don’t know about the potential impact it could have on the organic video. It’s possible the video won’t perform as well as it did organically (not everything does) but in my o it’s worth a shot.

I would agree that running ads and then remarketing to 75% viewers would be a great place to start and should extend the use for a lot longer. PS: do you not have a TT account?

Thanks, no TikTok account yet, I actually just created the IG account two weeks ago. After all, we’re an anti-social media app 🙂

oops, you're right. However, on social media is where your customers are :)) Meaning, people who just doom scroll and want something meaningful for you to "steal" them away
