Hi everyone! Not an specific question, just a general call for help! I have just launched a Japanese learning website this weekend and got to 15 users until today. I made the mistake of waiting too long to open a newsletter, but anyways while I work on the content I have been posting my site in reddit (subreddits for language learning) and quora answers to get people to know us. The product is functional, just missing some content which I am working on every day. In the meantime, I am working on launching a Kickstarter campaign, everything is ready but not sure if I should go forward with it or not. The campaign would be to raise only around 2000€, and the money would be mostly used for paying someone to help me with content and launching some marketing campaign. Anyways, I think that a Kickstarter a campaign might help with exposure. I'm a developer so the "known" part for me is over, now I get into unknown territory and I'm not sure how to proceed. Got my newsletter going too late and didn't get many sign ups before the release, so my total list of users + newsletter would be around only 20 people. Are there any recommendations you guys can give me, any blogs for language learning where I can post my site and so on? Really, today I felt like it was not going forward, and I would like some way of getting momentum, after few months of work it would be a great reward!

@Ion Kruger I have worked for a client in past who used to sell german and spanish courses. One thing I would like to point here is you are taking the temporary route to marketing here. Reddit threads or social media postings are temporary traffic for your website (gives dopamine rush when you see live visitors in google analytics) but it fades away very soon. You need to build your strategy around content and SEO marketing tactics which may not give immediate results but are worthy for long term results.

This needs a full fledge strategy and a content marketer would be better able to help. You need to narrow down to a niche by researching your competition first.

@Blogging Surgeon is this something you would recommend to me too? Just focus on SEO and try to grow in the long run instead of loosing time now with marketing campaigns? How do you recommend to improve SEO for a website like mine? Apart from the content I can create, I think I would need to get other pages to link to mine and so on, no?
