Hey guys, I'm worried for my domain since I've noticed open rates are dropping gradually as well as delivery rate is. However I need to start fresh with cold email campaigns and I have few questions. • Will subdomain count as a new domain, or I need totally new domain? • What's the maximum numbers of email you'd be sending per day, per account? • Is it possible they blacklisted IP? Thanks in advance 🙂

Sub domains don’t count towards the site For example • app.brand.comBrand.com • Brand.brand • Brand-randomlandingpage.com Are all ranked differently I’ll let the other SEOs experts answer the other qs, but my guess is your emails are being marked as spam by your customers which makes the email bots ding you.

@Dominick Cabal Thanks for the reply. So I guess I should make new account, work on personalizing the emails even more, and that will help?

Subdomains are definitely counted as different sites for SEO reasons as @Dominick Cabal said. But this probably is not an exact SEO question. And to be honest, I am not sure how on a subdomain you will assosciate email ? Say if you create a subdomain like leads.domain.com , email still will be mail@domain.com only right? So if that is blacklisted how does subdomain helps ?

@Blogging Surgeon got it. Can you recommend any online tool so I can check for my domain if it's blacklisted?
It would help a lot:)
b
You can use this one.

Not sure what you mean by making a “new account”, but if your site already has some good traffic and seo keywords, I would work on repairing it rather than start a new website. I’d check if one of the email are bugging out the system, for example, if one of your sales guys or email new blasts is the bad Apple poisoning the barrel.

Make sure your domain is DMARC registered for email. Not all big brands are for some strange reason but it's easy to do if you're not already registered.

Hey @Neil Hartley thanks for the reply. May I ask what will this change? I'm just curious.

@Neil Hartley, can u share more details on how to do this?
Make sure your domain is DMARC registered for email.
Thank you!

You should be able to do it through your email service provider. We host on Siteground and it took around 1 minute to do. https://www.siteground.co.uk/kb/configure-spf-dkim-dmarc-records/
