Hey folks, I’m trying to create an App Installs campaign on Instagram Reels, but I keep getting the error message “Choose an iTunes App ID: To run this iOS 14 campaign, you need to provide an iTunes app ID and URL.” However, it won’t recognize the AppStore or Playstore links. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

I recently solved this. you need to edit the app in Meta for developers > app settings > basic > add app store id to iOS module and Android respectively.

Thanks - just figured this out myself
Now I’m trying to solve the “Creative and Objective Mismatch….” issue

Good luck with app install objectives constant errors. I would just run a traffic campaign and use the App Store links I think they’re basically the same.

I tried it but It won’t let me use App Store links unfortunately
or Playstore unless I’m doing something wrong?

I used Onelinks from appsflyer. They’re free and went through for me.

Interesting, wil check it out right away
Ah, now it worked - set it up for traffic instead of app installs and voila!

Or hold on….
If I optimize for App the estimated audience is <1000, but if I change the objective to website the audience is suddenly x100 bigger. Did you enter the AppsFlyer link as website url?

Could the discrepancy be from desktop users are they excluded from your audience? Yes using the apps flyer one link as website URL

I’m not sure but I’m guessing it might be because the ad is only shown to people interested in Apps?
Regarding the deep link - it doesn’t get rejected?
