Hey Benoit, looks like a nice site! Starting a multi-sided marketplace is generally considered super hard because you have to build both sides of the audience and you can have a chicken-or-the-egg problem, as I’m sure you know. I think offering free access for early adopters is a good way to overcome this, are you posting the site in lots of spots where the potential audience could see it? Also, considering that there are lots of “spots to share your project”, I’d love to hear particularly what makes Upsid different from its competitors?

Hey Benoit! I just registered as a seller. Just a few thoughts / suggestions to share. I'd recommend adding some screenshots of the admin area to the public-facing site. Even a 30-second video of the admin tools would probably go a long way in getting more businesses onboard. Also, the slack menu item points me to this page (screenshot), so it doesn't seem to be streamlined yet. My company uses Discord for discussions with customers, since it's free and very similar to Slack. Might be a good option if the cost and maintenance of a full Slack community seems daunting. Nice site - I hope it gets some traction!

Hi @John Turnham Thank you so much for all your feedback points! As a great and key point you’ve just highlighted, I will modify my Stripe Connect settings (actually under investigation with my team and the Stripe support to get some help on this point) because it’s also a deal killer to me, so thank you to point this “issue” You’re right it’s a good idea, I will clarify the Stripe connect account process with screenshots and a quick demo video, it will certainly give more insights into how to become a “merchant” on Upsid with guidance to do so. Also, I will consider moving from Slack to Discord, it seems to be easier and more effective to manage interactions with and between Upsiders. Thank you so much for reaching out with all your recos, it will certainly help us to build our platform as one of the best ways (THE best way would be great too 🙂 ) to help founders and product makers launch their products and to find out their first and new users!
