Simply input your URL in the performance tab and analyze the query report with a date filter set to the last 28 days. This will provide you with a list of queries your content is ranking for.
Next, sort the positioning from lowest to highest to identify the queries that are closest to ranking, especially those nearing page 1. These queries are the most relevant to your content.
Take it a step further by searching those queries on Google and examining the top 3 ranking articles. Reverse engineer these results to understand what Google considers relevant for that particular query. Look for factors such as page structure, intent (listicle, how-to, etc.), topic coverage, and media usage (infographics, videos, images).
With these insights, optimize your content accordingly, focusing on aligning with search intent and creating comprehensive and unique content that surpasses the top 3 results.
By following these steps, I'm confident you'll start to see noticeable improvements in your content's performance.
